In addition children are welcome to annual events such as Harvest, Mothering Sunday, the Nativity Play and Christmas Crib Service.  Young people in Year 6 at Primary School and above can attend the Confirmation classes held (usually) from November each year leading towards Confirmation by the Bishop each March.  For information on activities for children and young people at St Katharine's please contact Deborah Howard or see the monthly Parish Magazine.

Child Friendly Award

St Katharine's Church was the first church in the Manchester Diocese to be awarded the Child Friendly Award in 2009 and continues to welcome children to all services and to join the activities offered for children. 

All leaders and helpers are CRB checked and the Youth Groups leaders all work towards acheiving the Youth Leadership certificates.
